Are you wondering whether neurofeedback is right for you or your child? Have you already read a lot, but you want to experience it for yourself? Would you like to know if your brainwave patterns can benefit from neurofeedback – before you commit to a longer training period?

Then the test session is just the right thing for you. It is your first, non-binding contact with neurofeedback – and it gives you clarity.

What is a test session?

The test session is your entry into neurofeedback training. In about 60 minutes, you will get to know the method, we will measure your brain activity, and you will get your first impressions of how your nervous system reacts to certain stimuli.

The goal of the test session is to find out if neurofeedback makes sense for you – and if so, which training approach is best suited for you. It is not an obligation, but an aid for decision-making.

Many clients describe this first session as both insightful and relaxing. They are surprised by how much they learn about their own brain – and how clear the feedback on the screen is.

What happens in the test session?

Step 1: Introduction and discussion

We get to know each other. You tell me about your challenges, your goals, and your expectations. I will explain to you how neurofeedback works, what you can expect, and what you cannot. This is important, because neurofeedback is not a cure-all – but it is a very powerful tool when used correctly.

Step 2: Measuring your brain activity

We attach the EEG sensors to your head. This pain-free process requires only a bit of conductive paste on the scalp. You sit down comfortably, relax, and we measure your brainwave activity. Within a few minutes, we see which frequencies dominate in your case – and where potential imbalances lie.

Step 3: Feedback and evaluation

I will show you your results and explain what they mean. You will see on the screen how your brain works – and you will get your first concrete impressions of how your nervous system reacts to certain stimuli. This is often the moment when a lot of things suddenly make sense.

Step 4: Discussion of the next steps

We will discuss whether neurofeedback makes sense for you – and if so, which training approach is best suited for you. For ADHD, we train different areas than for burnout or brain fog. For children, the approach is different than for adults. You will receive a clear recommendation and all the information you need to make a decision.

Why the test session is so important

The test session is not just an introduction – it is also a diagnostic tool. It gives us information about whether neurofeedback is suitable for you and how we should best design your training. Without this measurement, we would be groping in the dark.

The test session protects you from unnecessary investments. If neurofeedback does not fit your challenges, we will tell you honestly. And if it fits, then we know exactly where we need to start.

The test session gives you clarity. Many clients report that after the test session, they understand for the first time why they have certain difficulties – and that it is not a character flaw, but a measurable neurobiological peculiarity. This in itself is often a great relief.

Who is the test session suitable for?

The test session is suitable for everyone who wants to get to know neurofeedback – whether for themselves or for their child. It is intended for adults with chronic stress, burnout, concentration problems, brain fog, anxiety, sleep disorders, or other challenges.

It is intended for parents who want to clarify for their child whether neurofeedback can help with ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorders, or emotional dysregulation. And it is intended for everyone who is simply curious and wants to understand how their brain works.

What you will know after the test session

After the test session, you will know if neurofeedback is suitable for you. You will know how your brain works and where your individual strengths and challenges lie. You will have a feeling for what neurofeedback feels like – and if it suits you. And you will have a clear recommendation on how to proceed.

You will go home with a concrete plan – or you will leave with the certainty that neurofeedback is not the right path for you. In either case, you will leave with more clarity.
