When your mind just won't find peace
You lying in bed. It's late, you are exhausted – but your head just won't switch off. Your thoughts are racing. Tomorrow's to-do list, unresolved conversations, worries, fears. You turn from one side to the other. You count sheep. You listen to relaxation music. Nothing helps. And when you finally fall asleep, you wake up in the middle of the night – and lie awake again for hours.
Or you might sleep through the night, but feel completely shattered in the morning. Exhausted, irritable, unrested. The day begins before it has even started – and you already know that it's going to be exhausting.
Persistent stress and poor sleep are not minor issues. They rob you of energy, concentration, and joy of life. They make you more susceptible to illnesses, more irritable when dealing with others, and less productive at work.
But there is a way out of this vicious circle. Neurofeedback is an effective method to regulate your nervous system – thereby both reducing your stress and improving your sleep.
How stress and sleep are connected
Stress and sleep are two sides of the same coin. Your nervous system has two main states: the active, high-performance state (sympathetic nervous system) and the calm, regenerative state (parasympathetic nervous system). Ideally, you switch flexibly between both states – you are awake and productive during the day, and in the evening you relax and sleep deeply.
With chronic stress, however, your nervous system remains stuck in the active state. Your body is constantly on high alert, your stress hormones are elevated. This makes it difficult for you to switch off – and almost impossible to get deep and restorative sleep.
Neurofeedback helps you step out of this constant alert mode. It trains your brain to switch flexibly between states again – thereby both reducing stress and improving sleep.
Neurofeedback for stress – more relaxed through everyday life
Stress is not inherently bad. It makes us alert, productive, and focused. It becomes problematic when the stress no longer subsides. If you are still tense after work, if your heart rate shoots up instantly at minor things, if your thoughts always revolve around the same worries – then your nervous system is out of balance.
Neurofeedback trains the brain waves responsible for relaxation and regeneration. You learn to consciously bring your body and your brain into a calm state – not only during the session but also in everyday life. You will become more serene, more balanced, and more resilient to stress.
Many clients report that they feel less tense after just a few sessions. They react more calmly to challenges, they can switch off better, and they feel more stable overall. The chronic stress gives way to an inner peace that they would have previously thought barely possible.
Neurofeedback for sleep disorders – finally sleeping through the night again
Poor sleep has many faces. Some people cannot fall asleep. Others wake up in the middle of the night and cannot find their way back to sleep. Still others sleep through the night but not deeply enough – they wake up exhausted, as if they hadn't slept at all.
Neurofeedback trains the brain waves responsible for deep, restorative sleep. It helps your brain switch into sleep mode – exactly when you need it.
Many clients report that after neurofeedback training, they fall asleep faster, wake up less frequently, and feel more rested in the morning. They no longer feel shattered upon waking up, but actually recovered. This has an impact not only on their energy but also on their mood, concentration, and overall quality of life.
The connection between stress reduction and sleep improvement
The good news: When you reduce your stress, your sleep often improves automatically. And when you sleep better, your stress often decreases automatically. The two processes reinforce each other.
Neurofeedback utilizes this vicious circle in reverse: It trains your nervous system in such a way that you become more relaxed during the day and can sleep better at night. You don't have to choose between the two – you get both.
This is how your training works
Step 1: Test session (up to 60 minutes, €150 plus VAT)
We get to know each other, discuss your challenges, and measure your brain activity. I will show you how your brain works and where the imbalances lie that lead to stress and sleep disorders.
Step 2: Individual training plan
Based on the measurement results, we develop a training plan tailored precisely to your needs. For stress, we train different areas than for sleep disorders – even though the two are often connected.
Step 3: Regular sessions (75–90 minutes, €178.50 incl. VAT)
Each unit begins with ergonomic and cognitive preparation – movement, posture optimization, sensory activation. Then follows the actual neurofeedback. If necessary, we supplement with biofeedback for body regulation.
First noticeable changes often appear after just a few sessions. You sleep better, feel more balanced, and react more calmly. Sustainable, stable effects usually develop after a longer training period.
Biofeedback as a supplement – keeping an eye on your body
Stress and sleep disorders are not just a matter of your brain activity – they are also a matter of your body's regulation. Therefore, we often recommend the combination of neurofeedback and biofeedback for stress and sleep issues.
With biofeedback, we measure your heart rate variability, your muscle tension, or your skin conductance. You see in real time how your body reacts to stress – and you learn to consciously regulate it. Breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, mental imagery – you find out what works for you.
The combination of neurofeedback and biofeedback is particularly effective for chronic stress and sleep disorders because it trains both your brain and your body.
